Hymns, composed 14th and 16th December 2025 in the Aeon Centre, Sentul City, Bogor, Indonesia

“Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs,singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord.”— Ephesians 5:19

HYMN I

WHOLESOME IN CHRIST (Long Meter – 8.8.8.8)

Verse 1

Wholesomeness in Jesus Christ,

Revealed in love, His chosen bride;

As blood-bought saints, secure and free,

We share the hope His grace supplied.

Verse 2

Wholesome in Christ, accepted whole,

Accountable before His face;

Let nothing dark within us hide,

For we are justified by grace.

Verse 3

Through shame and suffering, still made whole,

We rest completely in the Son;

He rose in power — we are free,

His light now shines on everyone.

Refrain

Whole — whole — wholly in Him,

Wholesome now and pure within;

Wholesomeness from Christ outpoured,

Whole for ever in the Lord.

Verse 4

Wholesome — we face the strains of life,

With steady eyes on Christ our Lord;

Our minds find peace, our hearts find hope,

As truth renews us by His word.

Verse 5

Wholesome saints have gone before,

Their faith invites us to go on;

Separation only from sin,

Our trust in Christ — and Christ alone.

Verse 6

Wholesome — yes, glorious and true,

Secure in Him in all our ways;

In Christ alone is all we need,

Wholesome — to God be endless praise.

Refrain

Whole — whole — wholly in Him,

Wholesome now and pure within;

Wholesomeness from Christ outpoured,

Whole for ever in the Lord.

Verse 7

Songs of joy, lift up our hearts,

Draw us beyond our inward gaze;

With souls raised high to heaven’s height,

We tune our lives to God’s own ways.

Verse 8

Wholesome — we rise yet higher still,

Enraptured by His perfect love;

He longed to bless and welcome us,

So we give thanks — now and above.

📖 Matthew 9:22; 1 Thessalonians 5:23

HYMN II

GRACE UNTO IT

(11.8.11.9)

Verse 1

Grace — He shall bring forth the headstone with shouts aloud,

“Grace, grace unto it” evermore!

Grace rich and abounding like waves of the sea,

Grace that has won our poor hearts for Christ!

Verse 2

Grace reflects from the church, shining warm and clear,

Grace never leaving one part dark;

Grace shines on the sleeper: “Rise up from the dead,”

Grace overcomes evil — receive it!

Verse 3

Grace that includes sinners and saves for the church,

Grace stirring praise and true worship;

Grace set out in One — our blest Jesus Christ,

Grace overwhelming, grace supreme!

Verse 4

Grace, guileless, reconciles — done upon the cross,

Grace strong to transform us to Christ;

Grace lifts us from earth, draws us upward to God,

Grace bearing us all the way home.

Verse 5

Grace, truth, and compassion — all goodness divine,

Grace freely bestowed at no cost;

Grace shown in its fullness in Christ on the cross,

Grace — now received, embraced, changed.

Chorus

Grace upon grace — let heaven resound!

Grace flowing free, unchained!

Grace upon grace — from Christ now outpoured,

Grace that for ever remains!

📖 Zechariah 4:7; Ephesians 2:8

HYMN III

SENT IN HIS LOVE

(10.10.10.10)

Verse 1

In love, the Lord has called us each by name;

Not just to stand, but walk the Jesus way;

Grace does not end in words we gladly claim—

It takes us on in how we live each day.

Verse 2

We go in peace, not driven on by fear,

Not shaped by pride, nor pressed by human power;

The Spirit leads, and makes His pathway clear,

As truth and mercy meet us hour by hour.

Refrain (optional)

Send us in love, Lord — ready to go,

Light in our hands and hope in our hearts;

Send us in love, Lord — let the world know

Christ walks with us wherever we start.

Verse 3

Where there is hurt, let kindness lead the way;

Where there is wrong, let justice still be done;

Where hope feels thin, let gentle courage stay—

For love has won, and Christ has overcome.

Verse 4

Make us a people honest, brave, and kind,

Quick to forgive and slow to turn away;

Teach us to serve with open heart and mind,

Till self grows small and Christ is on display.

Verse 5

And when the road is long, our strength feels thin,

Still keep us faithful, warm, and walking true;

Till all our lives become a living hymn—

Christ seen in us, and others helped by You.
